Cloud Computing

Customers are using the infrastructure offered by AWS / Azure / Google to start new applications in. Cloud enables a faster go-to-market as well as lower cost since in the early days lower horsepower infrastructure is adequate. Clients are able to add more processing power as their applications start scaling.

Every cloud platform offers some native services that are unique to them as well as they facilitate use of third party services that the client may have standardized on.

Front end UI tools

Front end applications are developed using Angular Type Script and React JS. These are the commonly used languages for front end applications by all our customers today.

Automation Testing

Gone are the days when one needed an army of manual testers when developing and deploying a large scale application. Automation testing has replaced manual testing. Back end applications are developed in Java or .Net. The communication between front end UI and back end is through http protocol making API calls.

When a back end application is developed, the APIs are tested using Postman or Swagger. The test cases that are manually used can be automated using REST Assured which is the most effective tool for automation.

Front end automation testing is done using Selenium.

Continuous Development - Continuous Deployment (CI-CD)

Developers commit their code to a shared repository like Github on a regular basis. When a commit is detected a build is triggered automatically. If a build is not green, the developer is notified automatically. The entire code base is integrated, built and tested constantly. This results in errors being caught earlier in the life cycle which results in better quality software.
